Postpartum consultation / heel prick test at home

The postpartum consultation/heel prick test at home is performed between the 3rd and 6th day of the baby's life.

It is a standalone consultation, not included in any follow-up package, and is conducted at home or at a location of the couple's choice, lasting approximately 2 hours.

It includes:

- Complete physical examination of the newborn, including weight

- If not performed, testing for heart defects and red eye test

- Physical examination of the mother (breasts, nipples) and discomfort, with relief strategies

- Cesarean section dressing change, if applicable

- Laser therapy on nipple and perineal wounds/cesarean section wound, if necessary, to stimulate healing and improve pain.
